About Me
Hello!
My name is Melissa Ooykaas and I am the owner of Melissa Ooykaas Photography. I am a mom of three little munchkins- Brayden (6), Owen (3) and our newest addition, Quinn (6 months).
After I had Brayden, my lovely husband bought me a camera. It was constantly in my hand. I took it everywhere! I was definitely that mom who had an insane amount of pictures of her kid (don't we all?!) Fast forward a few years and my husband started a lighting company- which means he needed to me to take low lighting images of his work. I started doing that and then picked up taking pictures of my two boys and thought- I love this! Why not take the leap of faith and test the waters?
I began taking classes at JJC and made all of my best friends give me their babies for practice. Here I am, 2 years later, doing what I love and providing families with everlasting images (and memories) of their sweet little families.
